A spreadsheet and a word doc are probably all you need to document your plan. Easy to update as needed

Mine is the use of what I have in individual situations like my Apple calendar or notes with reminders. I use Pomodoro for time blocking. In my CRM, Realty Juggler, I can set goals and follow metrics on it, but I don't. Look at various CRM systems to see if they get you what you want for tracking.

John Cordeira I tried a program once and it became too involved and consumed all of my time.  I stoped and now I just go with the flow.

Hi John,

Whether you use a spreadsheet or some app, your task is to reverse engineer from the money you'd like to earn to the activities required to do so.  Look at what you made last year, increase it appropriately, then start there.  In other words...

  • To earn # dollars, I need to close # listings
  • To close # listings, I need to acquire # listings
  • To acquire # listings, I need to schedule # listing presentations
  • To schedule # listing presentations, I need to do # marketing activities, etc.

Track completed activities against your goals, daily if possible.

Each brokerage has one. It used to be you make a plan and review them.  Then the make you sign up with the broker. Some even have quota. But agents ignore the broker and resign in mass to go next door which does not have a marketing plan and quota.  The best is they got better commission also.

Word. Excel. I keep things simple.  Sometimes less is more. And more efficient.

I have never used such software.  If I want to make a plan, I'll just whip one up in a spreadsheet.

12 years so you're not talking about a CRM program. The only thing I can think of for forcasting future success is knowing your numbers and your conversion ratios and constantly work on improving both.

I have an excell file that an agent I use to work with put together.  It is easy to use; however I am sure the design on his part was difficult.

Thanks for the response. I'm looking for something more automatic, keeping me on track day to day. I don't mind if it's an online system requiring subscription fee.

I do a yearly business plan but need to update it quarterly.  Almost time right now.  I would be interesting to see the answers to this question.  Better homes and gardens provides an excel spread sheet that I used originally.
