I have a supplemental plan to Medicare that provides a "silver sneakers" gym membership for free, but I don't use it, as the gym I've gone to for 9 years is just minutes from my home and doesn't cost me but $15/month. The "free" option isn't as convenient.

I have a membership but done use it, the club is in the opposite direction from my office.  Poor excuse. I know. 

No, my heath plan does not offer free gym membership.  If they offered it, I would.  I go to the gym 3 times a week for spin classes and then, I walk/run outside at the Chattahoochee National Park.

My realtor provided health plan IS the gym!

Blue Cross doesn't offer anything of the sort.  They don't even cover chiropractic care or massage.

The only gym, I believe, they offer to low income families and kids: YMCA. I'm a gym edict now, but my gym has no discounts or refunds.

We get a reduced rate IF we attend 12 times a month.  I work hard enough around my home I don't need the gym.

Yes, if it was a gym that was close to where I live.

prior to Medicare, Blue Cross did not.... and I would not have used it...I was morbidly obese....now I'd pay $1,000 a week if I needed to.... TRULY.... I love working out and it's worth alot to me...

We cannot opt in to use something if we do not know about it.  If I had a free membership I would use it.

My plan does have some "free" fitness classes... I haven't used them but would love for them to offset my gym membership (although what would happen to my visit frequency without my direct "skin in the game"....!).  ;)
