We own a business that does hosting and have our own server in a professional co-location building. We work with over 100 domains. I learned to do html early on and still like to do some of my own designs. Not data base driven and maybe as slick, but I can whip a website up in no time. Which means we have total control and Google loves us. As to email, though, I prefer GMAIL.

I use my own domain that I purchased from GoDaddy but my email is hosted by WebHostingHub.com because they offer 24/7 support and it is in the US so I get a good connection when I call (because it isn't tranferred to some other country) and the people there are quick to respond.

After trying several in the 90's and eary 2000's, I have gone to a more stable email called gmail.

Tony and Suzanne Marriott, Associate Brokers - gmail provides about 30GB of storage for your 'vanilla' email address....
And I think GoDaddy does not sell unlimited webmail now.

No, but will look into Godaddy again. I use my company's email address for business.

I set up my domain with GoDaddy. Office 365 Email Essentials is my email provider, but I send and receive everything via Gmail.

I do ... and I have a virtual private server. Other hosting companies kept failing me ... servers down ... sites down ... that is not good for business.

I use a virtual email address that forwards to my gmail.com account. It is hosted through GoDaddy.

I don't yet use my own domain. I use a cable address which I have had for nearly 20 years. I work with SOI primarily and don't need to rock the boat. At one time I used the company email. However, the server would go down periodically for service. Those instances of the server being unavailable usually was at the worst possible time.

Godaddy is the most affordable domain sites. I suspect they will raise fees as the company lost $76M...... Do not understand why that mom and pop operation is a public company....

My own domain, so that my contacts can still reach me if/when I move brokerages or start out on my own. I'm using Google Apps for business, and I have just the one address so it's $50/year. Never ever had a problem with Google mail services; used to have all sorts of problems with running e-mail through the same providers as our web hosting over the years. Never doing that again.

No, we do not as we try to make it easy for our clients to remember our email without the added twist. It might make a good idea though just to capture that added marketing boost. Thanks!
