I try not to impact my buyers with my car, it would reroute their down payment to hospital bills.

I have always driven a "REALTOR" car, and in the slower years I thought about buying a lower end car. Called a couple of my past clients (higher end), and they said if they saw me drive something "less", they would know my business had gone downhill.

Impact?
If by impact you mean make an impression -- people will perceive and/or make an impression based on a variety of factors.
Your car, your height, your hair....maybe even your ability.

Curb appeal applies to your vehicle too. Is it clean, well maintained and comfortable. Do buyers have to wait while you take a pile of papers out of the front passenger seat ?
Another thought: Buyers also see how you drive. Do you use turn signals or are you too busy texting? Do you obey the road rules or are you trying to get to that next showing ahead of a competing agent? Buyers are watching so please drive safely and know the life you save may be your paycheck's.

If it does that is too bad! I have a truck for towing and hauling and to occasionally help a distressed client!

When I was an active agent, I never particularly tried to make a statement with the car I drive. It was more about function. I am not an SUV person, so the car I drove needed to have a big trunk for signs and comfortable seating for clients. It also needed to be reliable. I took excellent care of my car and it was always clean, weather permitting. How well you take care of your car says more to me than what kind of car you drive. I still drive the same car I had when I retired 4 years ago. It still looks new. I love my 2008 Ford Taurus AWD.

I think if we drove a dented clunker that was spewing oil and making all sorts of noise at it groaned to a stop, it might make a negative impression. Otherwise, I don't think our car choice should matter as long as we keep it clean and well maintained.

Maybe for some but not for most. I usually drive a Honda but we also have a Mercedes.

I know that there is anything about image. The question should be does once image really sell properties?

Good morning Brent. I believe so, it should be a nice car and always clean.

Brent Swensen I doubt very much! They perhaps do not care what car I drive....

Intelligent buyers don't make their decisions based on the vehicle an agent drives.

Brent Swensen Personally, newer car did not make impact on potential buyers.

I drive a Honda Element. I don't think it affects my buyers opinion of me. In many cases, the buyers admire the utility of it.
I would never drive anything fancy. Before I was an agent, I went to open houses looking for a new home. If the agent had too fancy a car, it made me suspicious.

I do not want to impress my clients with my car, but I probably impress some. I really like the Volvo XC90 I bought this last one before I got back into real estate and it is a pretty red. The importants is that whatever vehicle I drive, I want it to be clean.

Not literally, I hope! I think quality does speak for itself, so the answer should be yes.
5,130,422
I think it can since it's part of the overall impression, but I suspect that depends on the buyer. But how clean it is and how you drive (and behave while you drive) might even be more important

I do not drive many buyers around anymore but when I did they sure loved the Ranger Rover experience.

I drive two different vehicles but primarily a particular one when showing. It takes my client by surprise when I show up in my second vehicle. I think they identfy me with my primary one and always make a comment about me trading cars. They are watching and make assumptions.

Yes we work with some very high net worth it is imperative our car is acceptable

I happen to like my car but I've never had a client comment on it so I don't know.
4,800,232
I really don't know if it does or not. Though, I doubt it matters to them one way or the other.

Brent Swensen At one time an agent's success was measured by the car they drove. I don't think it makes any difference today.

Each buyer will have their own reaction. Some will have completely different reactions compared to other buyers.
