We are moving towards a time period where this very thing will be at risk .  As government grows and it's residents become totally dependent on it , historically bad things happen !

I think we all sometimes take for granted the freedom we have, but I try to keep it in mind all the time.

I see every day how blessed I am!

The answer to that question is a resounding "Yes".

I think about those in the military frequently..... I can remember when my youngest son was in the Army and did a double stint.... young people are not in touch with those thoughts....

Most people, especially the younger generation, have no clue how fortunate we are.  I believe they should all go spend time in other countries, particularly third world countries, then come home and re-evaluate their complaints.

Richie - Amen to that. I was in the Army Reserves, and during basic training and advanced training, I didn't have much freedom at all. I was told when to wake up, when to sleep, when to eat, and on and on...

I'm incredibly grateful for the freedom we have and for those who sacrifice to protect it.  

Those in power seem to want to take our freedom away bit by bit.  Be mindful and vote smart.

Richie Alan Naggar people forget the value of something that they get easy - and take it for granted! ( I have read the stories of freedom fighters and India - and my father was in some of them - little short of going to prison in 1942 Quit India movement)

We have so much to be thankful for and our freedoms are responsible for a lot of them.

    Wait until they bring back the Draft, like what happened during the Vietnam War... only this time it will include women as well as men.

I, being a native of the United States, think I take much for granted. I try to remember to thank every military person I see, and remind myself often how lucky we are.

I am thankful every minute and give thanks daily.

I appreciate it daily and don't need a special holiday to remind me.

Yes! And when we pause and think, we should also appreciate and do everything possible to not squander the freedoms.
