Hi Jeff,
I do the listing presentation in the home that way I can tour the home and get familiar with the layout. The homeowner will feel like you really are interested in learning about the house. When you do the presentation in the office it feels a bit robotic and the sellers can get really board.

I like doing it in the home and that way I can ask questions and the sellers can point out things I might otherwise miss.

I do them at the home. I want to see to home, and see what they are like in their natural habitat. If they have a major attitude, I may not work with them. I can see the advantages of doing it at an office where you have all your resources at hand. I've just never had an office,

Still in the homes, I still like to see the condition of the home before I list it.

I prefer in the home so I can see if I really want the listing!

In the clients' home. It gives them a feeling of control and comfort.

Most sellers prefer to meet at their home. I have only had one seller in Reston ask to meet at the office.

Good morning Jeff. When I was in the business, I would do it in the home, unless they weren't living there.

Never in the office. I come to see their home and talk about them in the location where they feel most comfortable.

Jeff Dowler CRS I do it at the seller's home - though they do get lots of information in my pre-listing package.
And it's always best - sellers feel comfortable with our presence at their home.

Depends on where the property is located and where the owners live.
Much more effective in some ways when we can tromp through the woods together.
Yet much quicker to meet in my office, and easier to fill out the paperwork there too.

I do both, depends on what the client prefers. I feel more in control at my office, but have the benefit of showing them what needs to be done if it's in their home.

We have always done Listing Presentations at the Seller's home (in the traditional way) - as we want to see the condition of the home, and what may need to be done, before it is listed Jeff Dowler CRS. I think it is a good way to build casual rapport with a client, in the atmosphere where they are the most comfortable, outside of the fact that most of our clients are elderly, and it is more convenient for them.

Never in the office. Always in the home, the traditional way
The only con is when I do not get the listing

Either way Jeff, I can come to the people with my IPad or have them come to my office. I can only say that pros are all the tools I need like copying machine in my office but it really does not matter. I am doing two next week at the peoples homes.

Jeff I can say that for residential listing it is 100% in there home. Reasons I don't think I need to get into. For my developers it is 100% in my office with all the bells and whistles.

It's a mixture. Mostly, they have already decided that I should list it. When that call comes, I go to their home to look around and sign the papers. Some come to my office to sign.

It depends on the property and where the seller is. Proposals are often emailed to out of area prospectives. If they're local, would love to meet at the property and present in person.

It's the traditional way for me. There are always special circumstances cases, but in home listing presentations are my typical way.
It's much easier to discuss the home when you're there.

In their home, where they are the most comfortable. It also enables me to point out any issues that need to be addressed before it is actively marketed.

Most of my clients are out of town. I m luck to meet with them at all. Saying that I try to be available if they ever come into town.

Jeff - I do the listing presentations in the home. I can preview the home at the same time and ask questions of the owners.

In the home. You can't get an appreciation for the home's condition otherwise, which impacts the list price.
5,116,528
It depends on the situation, Jeff. I've also done them over the internet with out of town clients. I just make it work for the situation.

In the home but I have heard that many have started to conduct them in the office. Are there are many ways to conduct our business. Whatever works and achieves the results is best.
3,744,393
In the home. I get them a lot of the information ahead of time so they are prepared for the discussion.

I prefer to do it at the home, because that just feels right. But I have done several at the office. I guess I don't mind that either.

I do not see a business model allowing 'in office' listing presentations.
I would suggest, in such cases, the office visit is likewise not needed.
