I have no idea, but it's not true that you need to be an extrovert to be a good real estate professional. Some of the top agents are introverts. I've done very well for over 23 years in real estate sales and I'm more of an introvert than an exrtover. Plus, what David Barr said...

Good morning Michael. I know I can't change my personality, so I'm at a loss as I'm a extrovert, as I suspect most agents are.

Michael - I would say the more outgoing you are, and the more you socialize with others, the easier success you will have. As an introvert, if you sit in the corner and don't talk to anyone, it's hard to generate business. Nobody is going to come running to you.

In my own personal circle, I'd say, I am introvert - would not open up easily unless I know and trust someone.

I'm with Roger D. Mucci on this one.  Your personality needs to adapt for the client you're working with.  Similar to "Matching and Mirroring."  If the client's volume is at 6, your's shouldn't be set to 11.

I would say an ambivert, because a sales personality needs to be outgoing but also able to listen and help their client meet their goals.

I will need to Google what an ambivert is?

And this is what I got:  Ambivert: n Someone who exhibits qualities of both introversion and extroversion.

And, I'm still not sure what I am other than confused.

Having a strong personality either way can be a turnoff to a client if they have the opposite. I'm an introverted extrovert. Most people who know me would say I was an extrovert.

TeamCHI - Complete Home Inspections, Inc. A so called sales personality can be learned. It doesn't make any difference whether someone is an introvert or an extrovert. A soft sell by an introvert can be more effective than a hard sell by an extrovert.
