All buyers/seller get them for free. Some even have access to prorietary info like codes evidently leaked from their realtor friends/relatives.
MLS is like~ $646/ year getting same info as what non-paid public. The difference is professionals can create listings....

When our MLS was broker owned it was never like that either. One fee per year, per person. We had 2 MLS's at one time & they became melded together.
