We are supposed to get it here in NC as well. And the shelves at the grocery store were bare of milk and bread! Yes, I went to the grocery store tonight! No, it wasn't for milk and bread, just the norm. I wasn't even thinking about the storm until I couldn't find a cart anywhere and then it hit me!

i made a list of recipes that i've been wanting to try, so got my ingredients today. neighbors will be over at some point to taste test any creations. i'm really excited!

and booze

Mac and cheese and beer. I don't drink milk. 

Lots of veggies.

Batteries, wood for the stove and water.  And a good source of DVD's for a portable player.

Well I need toilet paper with or without a storm so that's on my to do list for today.

My staples are always fresh veggies ... lots of organic greens and some fruit.

Debbie would be in charge of the grocery list.

Have enough of all of these, as long as I have internet I am fine to make it through the storm.

On Marine base in Okinawa they close the bars & stores that sell beer & liquor when major storm, such as typhoon, is eminent.  Let's be proactive before the snow storm shop for all the important items

Chrissi Chapman Topoleski that happens here every storm. I keep my home sticked and stay far away from any store before a storm. Looks like you may get all the snow as it appears to be heading out to sea before it hits us.

What is snow?

We don't worry about those. We get flashlights and batteries ready, fill tubs with water in case power goes out, fill trash cans with water in garage so we have supply for horses, might put up snow fence to deter drifts across driveway, stock some wood in garage for fireplace, have snow shovels ready, get bird seed!

during winter months, I make sure I never run out of non-perishables just in case we lose power....but I have a porch that is cold to store food....
