They do disturb me because I'm a good speller and every so often, the message is not fully decipherable due to the spelling mistake. You have to guess at what the writer is saying.

No, it is not really a problem.  I understand that many of us have keyboards that often exhibit signs of dyslexia...Like you, I try to spell check, and when I do see an error, I correct ASAP.

It can. Normally I can tell if someone wrote on their phone, and I forgive that. 

It depends. 1 is likely to not bother me but more will. But I find typos in blogs more distracting. We all make them even if we are careful. I like when people let me know if I have missed something!

No sir not at all.  What irritates the heck out of me is all the people telling you, you misspelled a word or two.  I wish if they didn't have a kind remark just don't comment at all.  Really, what I would like to tell them can't be repeated in this forum....

No, but I see so many, I have almost learned to redact in my head!
What's really funny is how I can perfectly understand the intended message of someone whose autocorrect completely changed it.
I would rather see a well-intended but misspelled message than deal with 'professional red pens' parsing every character. I worked as an editor in a past life--and no one's paying me now!

Sometimes my brain works faster than my index finger's!

I do not like to misspell words but occasionally do; if it is a good post it should not be that hard to pass over a few!

Thankfully I am out of school and my grammer does not get an F anymore.

Visiting a blog post with many spelling errors sometimes has me leaving before commenting.  Comments I receive, I don't get as annoyed.

My problem is my phone changes to many things.

They distract me very much especially when it is in the question. I think if "we" proof read before sending it would benefit everyone. Most questions are 1 sentence how could you ask "would you BUT or lease?"

I agreePaul, it is a bit of a distraction, but since I am not a good speller I am always willing to forgive them from my friends.... on the other hand those people who do not know us and read the comments with  spelling errors might think differently, Endre

Know, spelling miss steaks due knot distract from the comments eye receive.  Eye blame da editor box not supporting firefox's built-in spall checker and my fat fingers misstyping stuffs.

The spelling errors that distract me the most are the ones I make.  The same with any error.   

As a lousy typist, I tend to make many mistakes try as I do to proofread!

Everyone is allowed a typo now and then..consistent misspelled words make me wonder about the level of professionalism of the blogger in all aspects of business.

Auto-correct is also a culprit. That is frustrating. But I try to overlook the misspellings and be forgiving and thankful for the comments.

I try to make sure I don't have misspelled words. But... it happens and no I can overlook this on most of the comments and replies.  

People judge your writing on how good you are. I have seen real bad spellers typically they were poor student not degreed.

I always try to run spell check....I giggle sometimes on how I spell things.

I don't usually let it. I'm not the best speller, and sometimes my fingers type faster than my brain, or vice versa. 

English is not the first language of a lot of people.  I don't worry about how other people spell.

It depends.  I'm horrible at proofreading and do try.

When my brain get to far ahead of my fingers, I find myself scratching my head questioning, "What was I trying to say?"

For those whose fingers sabotage there intent, I often wonder what they intended to say and that is disappointing.

Just joking, spell check is there so use it people. I do try to do a clean text when I can, if in hurry (and I do 80+ words per minute) I may misspell, but try to correct it.

Also I don't mind if others make spelling mistakes if they are easy to understand.

No it doesn't.  I blame it all on auto correct.  That my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Yes, I find that they do. Sometimes I am the perpetrator when I type too fast, or on my phone it's the speedy auto-correct function that can be tricky.  You should see what comes out when I dictate messages on the phone and I have it set for a different language...

No, it is not an issue for me.  I know I have spelled a word incorrectly here and there ... yet it is never my intention to do so. 

I think people get in a hurry and forget to check the spelling on comments.  I have done the same.  

I am one that has many mis-spelled words... When I get comments like that it doesn't phase me in the least
