I've worked from my own home office since 1999. If I come into my brokerage office more than once or twice a month (unless it's for a meeting) they start wondering what's wrong with me.

I have a home office I use 15% of the 6 day work-week...mostly pre-dawn or a few after sunset hours.

A professional-personal office I use 85% of the 6 day work-week. I enjoy the professional atmosphere and zero distractions here. Yet, I'm not isolated.

I go into my Broker of Record maybe 1-2 hours per month, if that,  for meetings with him or to use the conference room/meet a client that lives closer to that office...which so far, is rare.

I can do everything from my well equiped home office. The reality is though I am mostly in the street.

In the beginning years of the career I used only the company office and loved it but I don't need that anymore.

No. I have a full time assistant and a private office within our company's office. I work only at home early in the morning blogging and during the evenings if I'm negotiating an offer or repairs. I enjoy the professional aspect of the office and often have clients meet me in one of our conference rooms. Very few distractions but helps me keep a pulse on activity and just works for me. I feel what ever atmosphere works for you get yourself in it and work it!

Mostly from home.

Intention is to swing by the office to check the mail slot to pick up all the solicitations from inspectors, home repair offers, home warranty providers, and the occasional 'solve it all' lender. Let me be honest, sometimes there is a letter from the heart sent by a client.

Like a 230 yard drive down the middle of the fairway, it keeps you coming back.

That's why since 2007, I have ONLY had a home office.

When I had bricks, mortar, and agents, NO ONE wanted or needed to come into the office - everyone was either working from THEIR office at home, or out in the field, including me. I called that office 'my Porsche' because the unused overhead was about equally practical as a midlife crisis vanity ride. Ha!
