Insanely easy.  All common sense questions.  Some questions asked multiple times.  I had one asked FOUR times... THE EXACT SAME WAY!!!!  I was done in about half an hour, spent a few minutes double checking things.  To borrow a phrase from Geico: "So easy, a caveman could do it."  Of course, I took an exam review course the DAY before my exam from Duane Gomer's exam prep school.  Best money spent.  If you go in there after a traditional real estate school, you don't learn what you need to actually pass the exam (at least that's how it is in California).  That's why people out here fail THREE TIMES before they pass.

In 1989 it was easy, you could pass the test in a little over one hour. Last year I sat for the brokers test and it was a full 4 hours. In Oklahoma things have gotten tougher and that's good.

The requirements vary from state to state. Many think that it is too easy to get a real estate license.

Haydee,
I’m a licensed broker in Texas and Colorado. If you have studied (you wouldn’t try to practice without studying would you) then the tests are fairly easy. Do watch out for questions written as double negatives.

HAYDEE Ewing The test isn't really that hard, but you do have to study for it. You also have to know how to take this type of test.

It was easy once I took the required classes but I don't think I would have passed the test w/o the classes. I passed the first time but I also took a pre test prep course prior to taking the actual test.   Finger printing and background checks were easy.  I think the test took about an hour or so.

It's going to vary from state to state. I've been told that Colorado is one of the hardest states in which to get licensed because agents go straight to being brokers, so there's more education involved.
