There are many different micro-markets in my market area.

For one it can be any condo/townhome priced at/under $500K

In another area a home priced at/under $1,500,000 is entry level.

The definition of affordable needs to be clearly explained especially for relocating clients.   

Average price range without looking in our area is around $200K -$300K.

Anything between $85,000 and $140,000. Below $85,000 it usually has serious problems.

We have some homes available under $250,000, and that is our "affordable housing" price point.   Hard to find in Denver.

Up to low $300,000's.

Depends on the buyers. Not nuch is under 300,000.00, but most sales near me will be in the 350-450 range.

Around the area here it could be anywhere from $119,000 i the country to $400,000 fro the high area.

Average is about $200,000 overall.

In my area the average for a single family is over $500K but if you need more than 3 bedrooms its closer to $800K is that affordable? Not to most I would say.

An "affordable" SFR in my area would be 500-600k range. 

Sybil - An affordable home in my area is anything under $300k. A reasonable starter home in decent shape can be purchased for around $175k minimum.

Our average sale price is $302,750.

With the wide variety of incomes in this area, they are all affordable. Just not for everyone. The average price here is about $135,000.

SFR: for less than $500k, condo: less than $350k~ on average( encino ca, the calabasas city will be slightly higher, but and i would not call them ''affordable'').

It depends on the buyer, I like to work with those who can afford a really nice home. $300k or more

It's crazy here.  Depends on the location we have homes near TCU going for $240 - $300,000+... This area is booming!  

Average pre owned homes are $140-$250  Under $140 is usually a manufactured home, small house or a property that needs a little TLC. 

New home sales have risen $190 - $220 

First time home buyers have a difficult time in our market. Affordable single family homes are probably those under $400,000. 

An affordable house in this area would be around 200K.

$200K - $350K

I would say 200-300k is a nice neighborhood home here, you can get into the 130-180k but you would be on the bad side of town.

DC Metro is like CA...we joke and call our house the 1/2 million dollar shack. It's 1200 sq ft 3/2, great neighborhood close to everything!

"Starter" homes in the area run about $450k - $500k.

anything listed in the $250,000 to $300,000 range is very affordable....

Under $300,000 and rising! Affordable is taking on whole new meaning!

 Good Tuesday morning Sybil. That depends upon the definition of affordable. Some people can only afford $120,000 property where some can afford a $2 million property.

Good morning Sybil. In Eastern Connecticut it would be under $150,000.

Well I guess median here is $650,000 and avg $800-$850,000.  Maybe affordable would be $500,000.

It depends upon the buyer's or buyers' income and other financial resources.

450-550k. its california :) everything is expensive. :)

Two car garages start at around $180,000. A starter house in the best school district is $220,000.
