We want to maintain our relationships and it's important to make their special day-special. Gifts and the sort depends on the client. Certainly don't want to insult a client or make them feel uncomfortable, for example, if they don't drink alcohol, you don't want to show up with a wine bottle/basket. Make sure you know your clients well enough to make this determination. A few times, while we're at the closing with them, our assistant will be delivering a gift card, housewarming plant or basket of goodies either to the closing itself or to their new home or bring it with us. Don't forget: People may not remember what you said but they will remember how you made them feel. Keeping them on the list for year end client gifts is a great way to remind them that, while their closing was in March, it's now December, they're still important to you and you're still available to them if they should have someone to refer.

Depends what they like. I do not have ''universal'' gift. We spend so much time usually together, that we have some idea what they like or would like as a closing gift.

It depends on the client. My latest client loved a photo the seller had of a london downtown with a red bu . I looked every where and find the photo and she was so excited.
