Not exactly sure about that situation, but I think you would be well served to network with attorneys that do estates and trusts, especially those in high end places. My dad used to do this. Not sure where you live. We are right outside NYC, so in our area, most attorneys that do that for the high end areas of offices in the City. (some will then have a 2nd office in the suburbs).
Not sure how to get the names. Most of these attorneys do not go to networking events, unless they are trying to get business. You actually want the ones who don't go to those events as they have the high net worth individuals.
Talk to high net worth individuals...find out who they know, who their attorney is for their will and who they know who takes care of high net worth individuals.

The trustees have a clique and there is an inside track as well. You want in? PAY your dues...if you get my drift Valerie Bubnash

I do business (I refer to them, they refer to me) with an estate planning attorney.

I don' know for sure, but I'm guessing this is a case of the listing going to the lowest bidder.

Great question Valerie Bubnash because I have noticed that here too. I have some friends who are attorneys, I am going to ask their suggestions.
