I do utilize a professional photographer and he delivers them thru Dropbox.  I think it works great and is practical, considering the size of the pictures, not one would make it thru the email.  Dropbox is free, and if I need to, can even share with other people, including other agents and potential buyers.

I share a Dropbox folder with my photographer.  He just loads them and I pull the ones I want from there.

I prefer to have them in a zip file. That keeps them small enough to store yet easy to unzip and upload.

Luckily I'm a photographer so I take my own photos. I did use a company photographer once for a headshot and the file was emailed to me as a jpg.

Those we use send us a drop box link.

I prefer to have them delivered as the contractor wishes.  I hire him/her and I am a Realtor and not a photographer.  Let them do their own business.
