I make sure I sign up for the CE class, then I don't have to procrastinate.

As soon as it is made available I take it.  Getting it our of the way and not waiting clears my mind.

The required CE in NJ is so utterly dull that I usually wait until the last minute.

I usually try to get it done early in case something arises at the last moment.

Theory: I keep an education ad training spreadsheet that includes five organizations to which I need to submit continuing education. At the beginning of the year I layout plans and expenses to complete that year's segment.

Practice: I accomplish maybe 60% of what I plan to, but procrastinate on the rest and have to get the remainder near the end of the renewal period. As they say, a plan is great but it's the action that counts.

Iused to wait until the last week, but no more!  You can wind up taking some really awful boring stuff if you procrastinate.

I have been known to do that, but I usually try to stay ahead of it.

Nope I'm completely on top of it.  Once it sort of slipped up on me and I almost didn't have time to get it finished, so now I'm months and months ahead of time. I also make sure agents at my office are as well.

I like to go ahead and take them and get them out of the way.

I'm constantly doing continuing ed so I always end up with more hours than required.  The only thing I need to look out for is the required core law here in Florida so I try to take that at the very first opportunity after my renewal.

Captain Wayne - Rowlett Real Estate School I usually don't. This year the Real Estate Board is requiring a mandatory Legal Update on Flood Instruction that goes into effect on October first. Waiting for the school to incorporate this into their lesson plan.

No.  As an instructor I take courses to renew my certification long before my CE is due.

Try to do a little at a time. If I need 12 hrs and have 3 months, I'll do 4 a month so it's not overwhelming.

I don't. Our year is July till June. So I try and get mine done by October of each year so I don't miss the critical updates in the required CE class or get caught up when I'm in the middle of my spring selling season.

I prefer to take CE classes well in advance.

No. I do my best to attend the mandatory early in the year, then I pick other classes as they pique my interest.

No procrastination going on here...I like to be on time and get things done early.
