We have to pay for our classes. I am caught up for the next 3 years but will be catching a class here and there as I have time.

One of our favorite title companies offers CE classes at a discounted price. We do have to pay for them.

John Marshall - FORE! Many title companies and lenders sponsor classes in this area, and one can get a "package" covering all renewal requirements for less than $100 online.

John Marshall - FORE! I am going to take our required 24-hours online this year. Our Real Estate Board included a required legal update to the CE that goes into effect on October first. I'm waiting for the school to incorporate this into their course.

John, Our office and our board offer various CE classes. Some are free, some pay as you take. Personally, I'm primarily an online CE course taker as the daytime courses typically conflict with my engineering work.

Our local board offers quite a few education opportunities. Some are sponsored by title companies. The neighboring boards also offer classes. This is a rural area and class offerings can be sparse. I've also taken classes online at VanEd.

John - We get all the training we need from our local board, and it is all free. Well, free because we pay our annual dues to the board.
There are a ton of additional options, but why pay for training when you can get it for free.

John Marshall - FORE! We have anniversary on birth-dates so usually no rush for many of us to get CE credits by the end of the year.

I usually take some of mine at my local board. This year I actually went on a seminar at sea cruise and got all of mine.

In our area, we have real estate schools that offer CE classes and they are not free! Occassionally you'll have a lender or builder who'll sponsor a class eligible for CE credit and invite agents at no cost to them. Here in NC we can do them in class or on-line.
