I like any part of the home that someone actually put some thought into: something creative.

Bed / Bath

Everyone is different.

Kitchens for sure.  Most people have vision when it comes to the rest of the house.  It's the kitchen that costs so much more money if it's not up to date.

Any Room with A View...but I like kitchens, and rooms that have fireplaces.

I have a great room with a major view of hills, sunsets, wildlife and lush. Then, it has a large screen TV and a Forrest scene on the other side. Put a bed into this and I would be happy (if single). Doesn't work well if married

A well done kitchen is great. If the kitchen is “so so” the rest of the house usually is as well.

A great kitchen will get the attention of many prospective home buyers.

For me here in San Diego, it's the views! Yes, in San Diego you can have ocean views, mountain views, lake views, canyon views, Sea World views (fireworks at night), Downtown skyline views, airport views (stunning at night) and in some cases a combination of 2-3 of these views!

Second for me is whichever is more stunning: front/backyard, kitchen or master bathroom.

The old adage is true - location, location, location.

But I've never bought a house without loving the kitchen.

Usually it is the living room/great room and depending how the basement is fixed up, some are really cool.

Winston - For me, the home has to be a complete package. I do like a nice kitchen, as well as the yard, and a view tops it all off.

There is no single part that excites me more than others, Winston.  It's the flow and the feeling of how the home lives that excites me.

Workshop space

I generally think the best part of the house is the basement. Especially, if it is unfinished. Then you can easily see what type of repairs/installations work was done. Generally, if there is a lot of shoddy workmanship in the basement, it will reflect the same  workmanship in other areas of the home. Its the next best thing to seeing through the walls.
