This lender probably does not get many referrals.

Good morning Debbie. That is never a good sign. It's unfortunate and makes all of us look bad.

lol, I've never heard that expression, and I'm stealing it:)
Yes, some buyers bring the lenders who do ignore you as a realtor. If we close the deal, I do not keep the information of that lender for my referrals.

Debbie- Oh yes, and those always seem to be the same lenders that we always have issues when it comes to closing on time. If a lender is quiet, that usually means there are some issues that they don't want you to know about.

No, actually most around here are very nice.

Not in a long time. Around here, it's gotten preety competitive and they have to treat everyone right or risk being off good agents' lists.

I closed one early in the year with a lender like you describe. I won't ever recommend this guy.

Yes and I never dealt with them again by my choice Debbie. I have a great local mortgage broker who bends over backwards to make it happen.

Yes, but they were who my buyers came with. Never again.

Yes, I was told by a lender every thing was going great, nothing to worry about it. As it turned out they missed the mortgage commitment date. They ran into issues about client not filing last years taxes and decided they finally can not proceed with the loan. Why did they keep saying everything was going great when there was nothing but problems? Once and done with that lender.

Lol, very funny Debbie. Depends on the harvest. If they have more business than they need then yes. If they're looking for business then they're all sweet and spice.

I think most agents have at one time or another. That seems to be the #1 complaint I hear.

Unfortunately many olenders are this way --- I never work with them a second time

Debbie -- I have never heard that term but it certainly relates to one particularly bad experience: US Bank. Horrible customer service. Lies. Incompetent. Maybe it was the particular office and not indicative of the bank but a phone call and email to their President was never answered.
Most understand that we can be an excellent referral source when they do their job.

Debbie Reynolds it happens when the buyer decides to go with the Internet lender - happened once last year.
Most likely, my buyers work with choice of 'good' lenders.

Yes, but not by choosing. Generally, those deals do not play out well, and more times than not, my preferred lender comes in to save the day at the 11th hour.

just did. Not my buyer though, so no my issue, but they literally told us it went to underwriting on August 19th and denied to loan on Monday. Thankfully we got our buyers another cash offer on this listing today.
