Anywhere I can relax. Usually that involves beautiful scenery (red rock/mountains/etc) or the sound of crashing waves. It has to be somewhere I can be active. I love the beach, but don't like just sitting there for more than a few hours.

We like to combine the two whenever we can. A week of exploring nature and a week of just relaxing and lounging. One year we spend two weeks on safari in Kenya and Tanzania followed by a week at a beach in Zanzibar. I am a firm believer in at least two week away, if not a month. Technology can even help you get away. Life's too short for just one-week vacations.
