We check the court records on our own.

www.mysmartmove.com - this site will enable the applicant to pay directly and input their info.  It will tell you if they completed it (many times they said they did and site will tell you if that is true) and landlord can check results.  Takes liability away from you because applicant pays directly online for service and provides results to you and landlord; hiding confidential information. 

Here in Salt Lake City we have a web sited that is called Rentler. You advertise the rental as well as screen the applicants.  Then the applicant pay for the credit and criminal report on line. . .  it has been a great service -- free for the landlord or broker

Our property manager uses appfolio for checks. I don't know how extensive his reports are. What's neat about this program is that is reports timely rent payments to the credit agencies. 

 I have used Experian Connect in the past with pretty good success rate

We run it through our property management division. I think they have two or three layers for checking credit, etc.
