In my experience, the higher producers don't (but often get it anyway) and low producers whine and scream about it and start saying "but I can refer you lots more biz."
For me, if I have an agent that already has referred a lot of biz to me, I wouldn't mind voluntarily giving them a small discount.

It would be nice, but I dont seem to see any on the many investment homes we buy and sell.

It depends on the agent, like Debbie Gartner said.
I don't expect preferential treatment. Once you start expecting it, you act like you expect it. At that point, you are essentially demanding it. That puts people in an uncomfortable spot and is unfair to them and unprofessional of you. Look at this from their point of view, if you listed your vendor's house, would you want them expecting or even demanding a reduced commission? Would you want to send them another client if they did? Bottom line in my book, you work hard for your money and so do they.

Good morning Michael. I am closing a loan for a Realtor referral partner, was glad to give him good service, the same we give everyone else.
Make it a great week!

No preferential treatment. I treat my vendors very well and if anything often over pay them.

I've owned 23 of them in the past, and each had a home inspection....always paid the full boat and expected the most thorough inspection....

Michael Thornton I have not purchased any home for myself after I began in Real Estate - so can't say 'yes' or 'no'.....

Nothing is free but there are teams expecting help with a newsletter etc. each month for referring the business.

I don't... but if an inspector or settlement attorney reduce their prices for me a bit, I don't complain.

Not preferential, but we will make decisions about whether or not to refer you again. Our daughter's experience with two of our closest referral partners has changed that relationship.

Preferential? No.
I want the treatment that comes with membership. Membership has benefits, but I would not call them preferential. If I don't feel the love you won't see the business.
