I never post until I get back. It's like saying "come rob me" if you do so while gone and many have been robbed doing this! I also don't want folks knowing my itinerary real time, we have such public life careers, I enjoy my privacy.

I don't even take photos - if I start to forget I can always revisit!

Depends on who is house sitting and watching the pets at home.

We post when we get home. There's no benefit to telling people we're out of town.

Security is seldom an issue since we always have a crew back at home and in the office to take are of pets, clients and tenants.

Yes, I do post a number of pictures on Social Media from my vacation time.

No, I usually wait until I return as I don't like putting out information that I am not home,

I often do. But, we have 3 dogs and a house sitter. If you're house is empty, this is definitely not advisable as others outside of your immediate friends could see the posts.

I do on my personal page. Between my alarm system, house sitter, housekeepers and dogs I do not worry about it.

NEVER!!!!  I like my house to be the way I left it when I get back home.

It is a HUGE safety problem and i pratice posting them when i have returned. I do not posts where, when or how long i will be gone

Praful, I know I shouldn't but I do.  Also, I mention my beloved house-sitter and burglar eating Labradoodle.  The combination, along with ADT seems to keep the bad guys from breaking in while I'm away.

I think it's fine as long as you have a house sitter or great neighbors watching your property. And dangerous if you don't.

No. The security risk is too great. There will be plenty of time to post vacation pictures upon your return to your home.

It is also a bad idea to discuss pending vacation plans on the internet.
