We currently live in a very large Victorian with a 900 sq ft Granny Suite for my Mother.  It is a beautiful home but just not my style.

My next home will be large enough for my husband and I but too small for guests!  It will be on the water, zero maintenance, Chef's kitchen, 2 Master Suites and my office.  It will be bright, light and airy (all the terms I recently read that we're not to include in MLS )

The view is first, then acreage...after that a big kitchen and then a deck. A large master bedroom comes into play, too, and the reason I own my current home.

Good question Winston Heverly. The answers would be interesting for you to analyze based on demographics.  As a 60-something, when I sell my current home, the most important features will be: low maintenance, outdoor living space,  one-level living.   This is not in any particular order.  I want ALL of them, without compromise.  I think when we are young, we are willing to make compromises but, for me as I get older I know what I need and want and won't move unless I find it.

Good morning Winston. They would be view, as we live on water, rural as we both enjoy that kind of living and the comfort of our home, which we built 40 year ago.

Large open concept kitchen/family room, fabulous outdoor area with pool, huge custom closets.

The most important feature to me would naturally be the location, then would be the roof lines and pitch, then the lay out of the inside of the house.
