I've heard it said that stainless stell gives them the best value. Most people want stainless steel. It looks better, is in style, and has greater resell appeal.

It depends on the rest of the kitchen.  Stainless is usually the best choice these days, although it could soon become the new harvest gold.

Stainless steel seems to be the preferred choice and works in most kitchens, including high end homes.  It is your safest bet.

It's extremely rare, basically unheard of that appliances are not left.  Stainless is the standard but the new black stainless is becoming popular.

It would depend on the home and kitchen.  Something the fits into the setting.

Black if it goes with the cabinets and counters. Stainless is on the way out in our luxury homes. I have it and won't buy it again. Too much maintenance to keep it looking great (fingerprints, water spots, etc.).

I would have them give a credit at closing to the buyers for new appliances.

Whatever matches the kitchen decor or their preference, not sure I have ever suggested to a client what color appliances they should pick out.   Their choice.

Something traditional that complements the current style / decor of the home.  Going beyond the basic, stainless, black, or white is risky if the new buyer decides to redecorate.
