There are so many ways and they all involve building relationships and simply being a friendly person.

Quickest? Spend a lot of money in high profile advertising. Do a big mailing. Start a p.r. campaign. Donate your time to worthy causes in leadership roles where you get public credit.

The answer is my friend is Facebook. Market yourself to thousands of targeted, local prospects for pennies on the dollar. Build your brand, gain instant credibilily and prospect all at the same time. Realtors who dominate their area on Facebook will have a distinct advantage in the coming months and years.

There is no short cut to building a business. 17 years ago I started working on internet leads and did well. Harder to do that today as so many more agents are on the web and we have competition from the ZTR's. Try farming a neighborhood, try working expireds.

So here's what you've all agreed on.  An agent needs to know a lot of people who will either use him and/or suggest that their friends do.  That's my experience as well.  So why is so much money spent on coaches and "systems?"

These are the things people are willing to PAY for. Communicate using all the marketing resources available and you will be paid for what you bring to the table.  Since everyone is giving away FREE CMA I suggest staying away from that offer.

The truth is, real estate folks are NOT looking for the NBT. They want to keep on doing what they already do, but bigger or cheaper or faster.

And the new stuff they buy is the old stuff with new labels.
