2000 the market was smoking hot and I was working with buyers and sellers 12+ hours a day right out of the gate.

I was a new home agent when I first started out. I came to work 15 minutes early and turned all the lights on in the model. Turned on the printer. Then I called all the agents that showed the day before and I called all the buyers that came in without agents. I would then walk all of the inventory homes to check what stage of construction they were in. I would come back to the model and cook a batch of cookies for buyers.

When most agents started, what our day to day scheduled looked like isn't what is should have looked like. We learn a lot over the years. So, if you want to know what I would do if I was just starting today, I'd say spend as much time prospecting as possible. There are many ways to do that, so you should choose a strategy and work it consistently. I like selecting a "farming" area to market to consistently. That's a base. Build a website. Write a Blog. Hold Open Houses for established agents to get exposure to potential buyers.... and so on.

Danielle Doucette Pretty hectic trying to prospect for a client buyer or seller.
