Most of the time they listen. When they don't it's harder but we muddle through it making it work.

Majority of my clients do listen. It does take some more time than others to do so. If they don't listen on critical issues that really impact my ability to get the job done for them, I might not take on the business or nicely fire them.

Good Monday morning Paul. For the most part, folks seem to work their own agendas.

Good morning Paul. For the most part they do, if not there is a good possibility they won't get a mortgage.
Make it a great week!

Not always. I just had a situation today. I told a client not to do something and of course, he did. I almost fainted when I found out. Now we have to fix it and it is going to be costly.

It certainly depends upon the situation, but my guess is I would reiterate my point, in writing, so it can be referred to later, when things blow up.

Generally they do listen, but when they dont, we have a talk about the importance of what we are doing and why.
On those rare ocassions when nothing works, I suggest that they hire someone else.

my clients always listened to me....if I had one that didn't, I'd probably cut them loose.... if they hired me to lead the way, they need to follow me....

Paul S. Henderson, Realtor, Tacoma Washington I think with proper education, clients really do listen. If they don't, I would terminate the listing.

I haven't had any problems with my customers listening to me. Most of them rely on me and are eager to follow.

Let's go to plan B.
That means moving back the closing date.
That may mean a new qualification for a mortgage since the rogue client just bought a new caddie on credit.
Ultimately, the hard part is not adjusting the plan, but pressing the client regarding 'Why?" they made that choice. If I discover they identify TRUTH as originating on the 'Dark Side' I will place them on a holding pattern and reduce my exposure until 'light' displaces the darkness.

That depends upon when "don't" happens...if it is about the price discussion...they never become clients.

Most clients do but for he one's that do not I give them everything in writing and tell them to read.

Most of the time yes, when they dont I do what they want. That is kind of our job, all we can do is highly advise, but in the end its up to the client.
Exception being and this has happened, when a client asks you to break ethics etc. then you break of anykind of relationship and RUN.

No, they don't listen. They know it all. I just shake my head and move on.

Most of the time they do. If they don't I would consider termination of the agency relation.
