Depends on your state.  We do not use attorneys very much and when asked, discourage the use of them.  They don't do the work, their assistant does, they are always behind and we are always subject to delays.

Jack Lewitz In Virginia you do not need an attorney. Brokers can do closings, if approved by the Bar Association. It's common here to use an attorny or settlement company to do the closing. I stay out of the legal arena.
