I have a walking stick measuring tape. Its easy to use and it folds down and  I leave it in my car.

I use a 30' tape measure most of the time. It would be nice if MRIS allowed exact measurements like 11' 4" x 16' 9". Instead, agents have to decide to round up or down, so this room might show 11 x 17, or 12 x 17, or 11 x 16, or 12 x 16 in the MLS depending on how the agent interprets the measurements.

We don't measure a thing.  If the buyer wishes to do it then it's their fault if it's not right.  Same with seller.

I use laser multiple times per day.  I only use tape measure for very small areas...e.g. measure width of wood...but generally I can eyeball this...it's only for the pine which is no longer milled the same as it used to be.

I always have a standard 16' tape measure as well as a hand held laser. I generally use the laser for measuring unless I am measuruing a patio or something without walls.
