Fortunately not, although I'm sure we've parked in the wrong spots from time to time. Your client probably wouldn't want a cop-calling neighbor like that anyway.

Well, there should have been guest spots.  We can never predict the emotional threat a parking spot with a car in it could have on someone.  The neighbor either has some problems, had a really bad day or this is an ongoing problem for her.  Don't be distraught, life happens.

The experience allowed your client to meet the neighbor and decide if that's where they want to live.

People move, so the neighbor may not have been there forever, but the behavior can make an impact.

I certainly wouldn't be distraught.  I'd just show the clients other properties.

On the one hand, it's a good thing the buyer saw her potential neighbor in fine form before she wrote an offer.  On the other hand, I never park in anything but visitor parking if the parking for the property is unavailable;  parking in our area is not readily available and I know how crazy people get about it.

You were not familiar with the property, so nothing wrong with what you did.  I would have said to the neighbor that there was no need to call the police and you would be leaving shortly.  Sometimes you get overzealous, retired, condo enforcers who have nothing better to do than to watch the parking lot and pretend they are the parking patrol.  I am sure the police don't appreciate such a waste of time for them as well.  Move on..

Don't sweat it.  Maybe advise the listing agent of the situation so that others can be warned about the parking situation.

Better to spot a crazy nekghbor up front then let you buyer prucase and find out later. Some people you can not make happy or will complain or conduct themselve sin this manner. Better to move on

Chances are you have not been the only one that has done that and could be why the person was so angry. I would have moved the car and proceeded to show the townhouse.

No - most town home owners will ask the parking person to move.  If you are a neighbor crazy enough to call police over a parking spot that is a town home community I will not show.

It didn't happen to me but at a show the Buyer's agent parked in the wrong spot and a resident called our community patrol who put a notice on his windshield.
