Hi Paul - I know my areas pretty well but I often touch "Go Home" on my GPS even if it's a short distance -- I think I like to check the accuracy of the "guide" or if "she" will take me on a new route.   Or maybe I'm odd -- yeah, that's likely the better answer.   

I cannot survive without my GPS!  I am so bad with directions that I sometimes need it to get from my bedroom to my bathroom ;-)

Yes and no..... GPS sure makes finding my way around easier.  

don't tell anyone, but I still don't know how to use my GPS on the BMW...Conrad Allen tried it too and he said it wasn't user friendly....glad it wasn't just me!!!  and I have NO sense of direction....

Yes. I'd be lost without it, my kids nicknamed my GPS Matilda and think she's bossy, telling everyone where to go.  I use it all the time, even when I know where I'm going, to check how long it will take me.

Depending where I am, I don't need it. But I use it, as it lets me drive "mindlessly" with my mind on other things than looking out for streets.

GPS has made life a lot easier. I still have a stack of mapbooks that I used before the days of GPS.

There are certain neighborhoods of my city that I know well and others, I still rely on a gps to get me there.

I can barely find around the corner without it and like Renee Paray, I have back up.

My buyer clients get the "directionally impaired" disclosure soon after meeting because once I start making u-turns, they'll discover it anyway.

I would be lost without the GPS!!! I actually have a back up which was given to me as a Christmas present a two years ago. A few years ago, my GPS started to garble the directions then the screen went blank half way to my appointment. So now I am always prepared with the back up GPS (and actually a 2 nd back up if you count the cell phone).

I still have an old Thomas Guide lying around, but I do prefer my GPS. Sometimes I even punch in an address to the one in my car and on my phone to see if they have different directions, time or traffic warnings. 

Absolutely, although many times it doesn't get us to the right address or goes the long way!

Yesssss.  I would definitely be lost without the GPS.  I have an awful sense of direction.  Plus I work a huge area that would be very difficult to learn every street.

I am smiling at your reference to the Thomas Guide.  It had a place of honor in both of our cars, and now Siri does the job.  It has been helpful for us getting in and out of the airport maze in places we did not have a familiarity with.  For instance at the Miami airport, we have gone the wrong way so many times, that the last time we were there we definitely used it,  LOL A

Yes! I have to use GPS. I get lost coming out of a neighborhood or subdivision. I have gotten lost up on a dirt road on the mountain that ended in blackberry bushes because my cell phone ran out of service!

I like to think that I can survive, since I am old school and remember the days of pagers and mapbooks to get me from Point A to Point B!

I'm not but my clients certainly are! I remember one recent outing where we had 3 devices telling us all different directions in a car. None were right. I made the buyer turn around & we just went on 'we have to get over there'. We made it but it seems that we are relying way too much on the technology.

I just thru out my map books that I found in a cabinet recently. Threw the maps in my car in the trunk too.

I use Waze that not only tells you how to get there but also the fastest route so that you avoid traffic. So I use it even when I knowhow to get there.

I'm sorta strange, I suppose, because I like to have backup systems. My GPS is so old and out of date that I only use my cell now. But I also print out google driving directions. Because sometimes I am in a place without internet or cell phone coverage. And sometimes Siri tells me she's sorry but she cannot help me at the moment, and I want to throw my cell out the car window. But, hey, no, I have a printed map with me -- saved.

We almost depend on it if not addicted to it.  I still carry a suit of maps over several counties.  

BTW: The Apple maps are so bad !!!!!!!!! Awful.

We have so many new developments and roads that the car GPS cannot keep up.  The phone GPS is much better for us in our area.  And yes, I do rely heavily on my GPS!

GPS all the way there and back.  Its nice to not to have to think about directions and  timing. One less thing to think about makes me happy.

They don't really work up here that good... gps and goggle maps are not our go to source.... maybe some day...

I've lived in my city for almost 17 years and seen a lot of growth. I can get to the general areas pretty easily, but for some of the newer neighborhoods (and the way a lot of our streets curve rather than a straight grid pattern) it's nice to have the GPS.

I use Siri and Siri uses Google maps. I also use Waze and actually like that app better and can navigate and get around traffic with ease. I do not use MapQuest at all anymore.

It sure makes life easier.  There is nothing worse than being in a large development with a customer in tow driving around and around squinting at small addresses.

Paul- I love my Google Maps on the iPhone and for long trips we also have a Garmin GPS.  That said, I never take a long road trip without also have a road atlas.  I use the GPS to get me out of a neighborhood once I get in it. 

The best GPS out there is the WAZE App download it you will be amazed

We are a small 4 stop light town. I don't even need a map. Just give me the house number and I will be there.

It seems my brain likes to go on vacation and perfers that I use a tracking device to get where I am going (most of the time).  I use only when in unfamilar territory....

I don't use it locally at all.  Sometimes I look at a map for a location when I plan my route, otherwise no. When I go out of town somewhere I haven't been before I use the navigator on my phone.  Seems to work better than the GPS. 

Yes!  Unless I have drive there before.  But yes I get lost very easily with out my GPS.

I can get lost even with my GPS and Google Maps.  However, I have the unique ability among men to be able to ask for directions!  

No. i have never used GPS. if i ever heed a map, i use mapquest or ADC maps.

When I'm where I'm not supposed to be, you bet I am lost without my GPS. Of course, if the tank if full, I am never lost.

Very rarely do I use them for the simple reason that if the internet goes down, I can still manage to find my way around on my own!

I am definetly lost without my GPS and I can't imagine getting around Houston without it!

Mine reroutes me around traffic so I love it. Not sure I need it, but I like to use it.

Google maps and my smartphone are my guide. It's funny though, our MLS still has a data field for ADC map page. I haven't seen an agent carry a map book around in ages.

I couldn't agree more. even though I normally know where I am going it takes out the need to question yourself or stare at number after number hoping not to pass it. 

I use the GPS function on my iPad and iPhone all the time, but I do have (gasp) an atlas of my area in the back seat of my car just in case. I learned how to get from point A to point B using a "real" map and I actually like doing that. It just takes a little more planning.

Yes to GPS.  We use GPS for so many things beyond navigation.  My fitness tracker is GPS driven.

I drive a GPS that happens to have a car attached! I used to sell houses really fast in case I could not find them again.
