Glamour shots do not have a place on business cards or in marketing in my opinion. People want you to be real and look like your photo.

I heard of a customer who had a business card from an agent.  When they met up he said "OMG WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU".

No pictures for us on cards, personal preference.  I know what I look like and the customer just wants my contact info.

Caroline -- whatever suits your personality.  I do admit they do seem funny to me most of the time but I'm not a fan of photos on business cards. Does your attorney, physician, accountant or other professional have a photo on their business card?

In our town putting your picture on your business card at all is considered tacky.  Other industries don't have this practice - why do we feel the need to slap our mug on everything?  Marketing maybe, but a business card?  We just don't do it.

Caroline Gerardo There was a period when agent's did use glamour photos and many agents used their high school graduation photos on their business cards. I believe agents are now being more professional and using updated photos.

There are so many we see which are unrecognizable in either form the perception seems to be wasted. The tagline should read, yeah, this was me, once!

Glamour shot phots make good targets for bow and gun practice. That is their only use. Old photos are ok for blogs, but not for business cards.

If you have a photo on your business card I believe it should be current and looks like you do in person.

The Agent you choose REALLY does make a difference

Hate that - nothing worse than meeting an agent and not recognizing them.

Glamour and outdated photographs are not good for personal branding in real estate. You want people to recognize you at the grocery store.
