I walk them through it as we go. First time buyers can easily be overwhelmed.

I do many first time buyers John. I just explain everything in an elementary way and tell them they can call me day or night and I will walk them through everything. I have had pretty good results.

I do have a handout with LOTS of information, but also educate them in person all along the way. LOVE that, they are such sponges!

I share my blogs and explain as I go along. The first meeting spells out the process and I get them set up on email or text for updates to keep them informed about what is next.

Yes I give them a packet that includes Real Estate terms, what the home inspection is about etc. The packet is something they can read at home. I also go over budgeting for buying a home, escrow account and more.

I have an entire package of information and materials, but I also keep explaining stuff as we go along, because it can be complicated and they forget.

Early in the process I explain the phases of the home buying process. Details are provided for the phase they are currently in, and how their preparation now will prove critical in the latter stages.
I find if you do a full dump, the misinformation they retrieved from the dark side and all the TV reality make-believe shatters their confidence making all the months of preparation they invested before calling a whole lot useless.
So I stick to bite-size instruction relevant to what they are currently engaged in.

I explain the buying process when we first meet and give them some printed material and explain more as we go along.

Good morning John. I spend a lot of time with first time home buyers as I take them through the pre-qualification process, but no materials.

I have a specific lender for first time home buyers who educates them through videos, with me following up after each. Works very well as we answer questions before they're asked!

At this point my method is kind of a hybrid of functionally practices that intrinsically work and ones that I try on a case-by-case basis.

I have a handout booklet put out by the Accredited Buyer's Representative group. It is awesome!

We sit down with them and do a buyer consultation designed to educate them and refine their wants and needs

I have a first-time buyer's guide and follow up with additional education as we progress.

I don't have specific materials for them but I do take extra time in the beginning to explain the process and let them ask any questions they have.

I tend to explain things a little at a time. I find when you offer too much information at once, the buyers' eyes glaze ove. I tend to do it chunk by chunk, week by week.
