What camera do you use for neighborhood videos? I'm leaning towards the GoPro HERO3+ Silver ($299 at Best Buy) but the Sony AS100 HD Action Cam ($149, down from $299) may be a possibility too.

I have a Canon Videocam that I ordered online about two years ago. I suggest you make sure it has a jack for an outside mike and has good sound quality (noise reduction). Read the reviews.
