AR does seem behind-the-times in their format support, etc. I'm not an IT expert but other platforms are certainly easier and better than this one.

Aloha, Kimo -- I have read some recent comments regarding this issue but experienced it for the first time this week --- what a mess.  I published a post(I write in google drive and cut/paste) and it was horrible.  I edited the post after publication and cut/paste again and it looked okay.   Yikes!

I see bloggers complain about it. I've seen it on re-blogs. Seems formatting is changing after you post it? 

Kimo, bad things seem to happen when I hit save or draft.  I now do a post in one sitting without interruptions as things can be wildly changed when saving and coming back to it.

Kimo, I've had issues as well... trying to work around them as best as I can, as I never seem to get a good response if I "call in" the problem. I have one formatting issue I asked about in February--I have an email telling me they are working on it. It's late April... not a further word.

I had the same issues. I was doing formatting on MS Word and pasted post into a blog, after I pressed ''publish'' formatting got crazy. I tried to fix again and again, played back and forth, but it was just a waste of time. I agree with Kathleen Luiten .

Glitches like these are not fun.

Also re-blogs look terrible.

I looked at my old posts, some have formatting messed up and pictures are missing. I'm going to delete them or hide.

AR staff did a lot of improvement recently, but there is some more work to do.

Kimo Stowell I did notice that - however, it happened to few of my posts earlier, but I did not see it off-late.

I never use draft as I've lost too many posts in the past.  May the force be with you.

Talk to tech support Kimo, many people are having trouble.

Some of the upgrades have not been well received as additional problems have surfaced. Be sure to report specifics to the staff.

Last blog had the WILD FONT SYNDROME.  Had to fix a few lines at a time and finally able to post. I would not be surprised to see extraneous fonts in my posted blog at some time in the future.

Good morning Kimo no issues here.  I always write my blogs in Word and then copy and paste them.  Nothing changes and all is good.  I did find out I can't use IE and need to post them using Chrome to get them to look right.

Are you kidding me????? ActiveRain is light years ahead of where we were just a few years ago.  I have no issues...

I have heard them save it may be the browsers that are being used. So have you tried switching that up? Also have you tried to write your post in another format like Google Docs or Word and copied it over?

No clue.
