I do a lot of referrals and receive a lot of referrals from out-of-state agents. First I use my short list if I have an agent in that area. Otherwise if agents I trust have a referral they trust I will call that person and interview them. If neither of those is an option in the past I did a search for top agents and would call a few before deciding on the referral. But now that I'm active on AR I will call my AR friends for referrals!
