Hi Dick - in California, there are many disclosures. Two of them ask the seller to answer if repairs, additions, renovations that have been completed with or without permit and within building code.
Another part of our purchase agreement states that some repair work can be made by anyone unless specifically noted or requested. I guess this keeps attorneys busy. Disclosures often raise more questions. That certainly seems to be in my mind reading the response from the flipper.
