Yes, I'd definitely use it to take aerial photos of my listings!  If nothing else, some of the expenses of maintaining my pilot's license & plane could be written off as an expense, even though any real estate agent with a pilot's license probably flies because they love it (hobby).  However,  I would not invite the seller to go up with me (for liability reasons).

Hi Jesse, I have a pilots license, but I don't own an airplane.  If I did, I would certainly consider using it for aerial photos, but it's much easier to hire someone with a drone.

That's definately a NO on both questions.  I don't like flying if I don't have to.

I would totally market myself as being able to take aerial photos. As far as taking clients up in a plane...maybe with a good legal release.

NO...I would concentrate on flying the plane.  Maybe I would if I was a passenger.

Personally, no. I know that aerial shots have their appeal but for the average family...I don't know that it is that important (until someone tells me otherwsie.)

A drone may be more efficient for most properties.

If I owned an airplane and had my pilots license I'd probably be in a different line of work.

That being said I would hire a drone company if the property called for it.

These days I will probably use a drone company to do that for me at a fraction of the cost

No. It's not worth the expense. Not a single buyer has ever been interested in seeing aerial photos of properties, and only one seller in 10 years considered aerial photos. Buyers want to see houses from the ground and the inside of houses. There are numerous free sites where you can see aerial views of properties.

Probably not. You have to have the right camera equipment too. I think those in the business know how to catpure the best angles and produce the best product.
