Sussie Sutton I'd suggest using some third party FREE apps for text messaging.
I have used Go SMS (and Go SMS pro). There are many other features in this app that helps you more organized with the text messaging.

Shoot Sussie, I have the Samsung Galaxy 5, and think I cannot help, but will see what everyone has to recommend.

Jesse Castro when I go to my default messaging app on my Samsung it displays a drop down menu with the following:
1) Messaging (which is what I am using)
2) SMS Backup & Restore
3) Hangouts
4) AT&T Messages
So to answer your question I think I am. I think I am just going to go to the AT&T store and see if the IT guy there can fix it.

Jesse Castro to your question: My default messaging app has a drop down menu. It shows 1) Messaging (which is what I am using) then 2) SMS Backup & Restore, 3) Hangouts, 4) AT&T Messages.
So I guess the next best thing for me to do is go the the store and see if the IT guy there can help me with this.
I did change my bubble color so I can distinguish QUICKLY which are my responses.

Jesse Castro I went to my text app and got to the setting button and the choices were messaging, hang outs, and AT&T. I have messaging highlighted. Maybe it should be AT&T ?
