I like bobble-head minature poodles with battery operated red eyes that rest on the dash board of your client's car with your logo printed on the dog collar in glow-in-the-dark green.

Geez Hank. Now I have to look up 'Koozies?' to see what they are. I had one gent trying to sell me chip clips. It took 3 calls to me before I understood he was talking about potato chip bag clips to hold it shut after opening. I originally thought it was something for the computer. Over thinking again.

I have to go with pens. I get quality pens made with my branding and then hand them to clients when they sign the final paperwork. Then they get to keep that pen, which they used to ink the deal.

When I'm in peoples homes I always try to notice what kinds of books they read - author, genre, etc. After close of escrow they receive a book from Amazon.

I know this is more for a closing gift. But I dig Cutco Knives. They are a bit pricey, but what they offer is priceless. When you purchase the knives they come engraved with your name. That's all fine and dandy, but the KICKER is they show up YEARLY at your clients home and say they are here on behalf of the Hank Dugie Team to sharpen their knives FOR FREE! Talk about service and keeping your name in front of them.

Hank, I like a good pen. I've also been given the pen/stylus for tablets which I keep in my purse. This year I invested in a canvas bag with my logo on it.

Hardly anyone throws away a decent pen. I'm going to have to go with that.

I prefer to spend a little extra and give out very useful items that won't be thrown away. Some of my past gifts have been screw drivers, hammers, yard sticks, first aid kits, pencils, pens, jar openers, tote bags - all personalized of course.

The fridge calender magnets are great. I also like the koozie idea because of the face time they get. Maybe switch things up seasonally? Break it up and cater to the area or the type of client you have. If you know they have barbecues every weekend, throw them a couple of koozies. If you have a teacher, hand them a couple of pens. If you know someone travels a lot, make it a key chain.

Use the small containers of hand sanitizer. They will not be trashed until they are empty.

A pen is hard to beat but they are hard to keep and get misplaced easily.

Pick what you like and what you'll be proud to hand out! Maybe even ask a local pub/bar if they'll let you hand out a bunch of koozies or pens?

I am a fan of refrigerator calendar magnets. I see them on my clients refridges and have them ask for them. I like receiving pens and penlights.

I haven't done any of them yet. I am spending my money on snail mail and post cards
