Bob Crane - I don't think you can do it on ActiveRain. Even for other sites, you may get the IP address of the computer but not the name - to best of my knowledge.

(And even if someone leaves the comment on your post does not mean they read your post! Fact - as I see some comments which has no relevance with the content of the post.)

Good morning Bob. I wish there was a simple answer for this question. I know I have ask regarding the numbers in AR, they told me it wasn't possible.

Bob the only way I know is when the reader contacts me. I just closed one contact and on the back side should close a directl referral from #1 this week.Blogging works. May advise is Just Do It.

Bob, how you should interpret this is the headline or distribution were effective.

Continue blogging, If you get the same result, examine your content. If you don't separate yourself, the readers you have may lose interest. 

You get responses by being CONTROVERSIAL!  That means write about what your readers are TALKING about and they will toss in their 2 cents. Some will actually add fabric.

I wonder that same thing - and sometimes I do get comments or connections from the public - the thing that amazes me is when someone clicks through on the URL - success!

It wasn't me, I didn't do it Bob Crane but I will let you know when I do. If your readers can't provide that piece of information it's virtually impossible or at least not very cost effective.    

I do not know how you can track who is reading your active rain posts

The only way I know to do that is by the comments made.

Well you can do Google Analytics on AR but then I'm not sure if the AR system does a scan or something & removes it. Sometimes the 'key' won't stay in AR at all either.

You could track your outside blog easier but I don't know if that is currently working now that T took over. Hope you know what I mean.

Yes, just verified it in my account, outsides are being tracked because I have 3.
