Frank -- due to our traffic in Southern California, it's not just distance but time that I need to consider when working with sellers or buyers. I need to stay aware of commute times otherwise I would be on the road all the time which is the not most efficient use of my day. As Lottie Kendall mentioned, it's one of the reasons I drive a hybrid....maybe that's an urban California thing.

SF to Sunnyvale (which is typically although not always my longest distance) is about 50 miles one way, and we have heavy traffic with which to contend. It's not unusal for me to log in 80-120 miles in a day. This causes me to sharpen my planning skills and combine appointments and tasks. And to appreciate my gas-saving Prius. Several days a week I work from my home office and drive no where. It all works out happily!

Depends on the type of property, homes are a much smaller area, Forestland is a statewide market for us.

I work in different markets around the country, but the longest I find it comfortable to drive for meetings/networking events is about an hour and a half. Here in Southern CA, that could be 75 miles, or 10 miles, depending on the time of day. I don't mind traveling long distances as long as I can do it without running into rush hour.

Frank in Albuquerque it's about both distance and rush hour traffic. We are very spread out and I cover the entire Metro as well as surrounding areas. I avoid rush hour like the plague!

A well-deserved revenue then! In some areas in NY metro, some organizers disdain working outside of 40-50 mile radius. I'd say for 200 miles round trip, it better be a nice property Lol
