That may not be the point at all.
For many who have been in pursuit of 'truth' (a,k.a. what works) we can hear 'truth' and not recognize it until we are teachable. At THAT moment, the key fits the lock an our understanding is opened.
The 'Secret' becomes that which you are suddenly aware even if the principle is legendary.
Then there is the good advertising copy practice. Clearly you read and saw common sense but you should also have given credit for an effective headline or subject line.

Yes, it is how they try to grab attention and then let the reader down with what is not really a secret, but known to everyone. It works more to grab the attention of buyers and sellers than agents,

Unfortunately, it's how they get our attention! And we always do pay attention as many of us are always looking to take our business to the next level.

Most secrets to success in Real Estate are not new or Secrets, folks just need reminders from time to time.

Andrew -- new and improved, right? Aren't most "secret weapons" a re-working of something basic that if they were to be implemented correctly and consistently over time would be effective? The power of marketing. Nothing particularly wrong with that, in my opinion, but something we need to be aware. It seems as if there are really very few new and "game changing" ideas...and that's what makes them so revolutionary. And rare.

Andrew Mooers , those are generally 'hooks' to sell even more stuff to Realtors. My first mentor told every agent in the office exactly what he did to have high sales volume. He didn't mind sharing, but you know why? Because 99% of the agents wouldn't do what he did. They had a 'better' way, or it didn't feel right for them, or something. Nobody ever matched him, either.
