Jane, after four years of paying for the upgraded RAINMAKER account it looks like I will finally have a closing due to being found on Active Rain. I have had a couple of near misses, but it does work. On many of our posts for listings I will do a "FLAGSHIP" post that is very detailed with lots of pictures. Anyone who has interest, especially buyer's agents, I just email them the Flagship post so they will have a much more detailed and comprehensive source than the MLS sheet.

It increased exposure for your blogs which does bring more business. Become active in the rain and for every 100,000 points the fee goes down $10 until you hit 500,000 and then your upgrade is FREE. Cant beat that reason to active and build your business while doing it.

Yes. It's more than paid for itself in referrals, it makes the phone ring because when done right, consumers will find you, and if you never even closed a deal from it, for the price, I'd say it's the best ROI on education you can get.

Absolutely yes. Most of my posts are written to the public and get ranked on Google. That can't happen if you are Members Only. I get calls from buyers looking in areas and also have had sellers search for me on the web and find me all over because of my ActiveRain posts.
