yes, it is very valuable.  My lender closed more buyers than I did from open houses.  Can only sell a home to one buyer ... but all the other buyers still need a loan. It is a great opportunity for the lender to get business. It is also great for buyers to have on-site lending resource.

It is always helpful to have someone with you at an open house.

YES, but fior it to work well you need to be in a high traffic location, i find my for new construction listings it is a great plus.

I have done this. It was great to have the company, because no one showed up for the open house. They aren't very popular in my market. If open houses did draw more attention, I would think it would be great to have a lender on hand.

Yes, I have had them there, and other than having company to talk to when there were no values, no.  I have not ever had a buyer want to get pre qualified or even ask them questions.

I typically don't get enough traffic to warrant two people at a time, but I do have lenders host open houses for me on vacant and new homes.  They like the leads they get and they call me if a buyer looks interested and I pop by to take over from there.

Yes I do and like to advertise that I am offering that to buyers. It does help bring in more people to the open house. As a secondary benefit, it is great company.

I have had mortgage people at several open houses, and it was helpful and it made the clients who were first timers pretty sure about their situations and helped us both....this was mainly new construction, however.

Yes, I've done this in the past.  And having any extra set of eyes around at busy open houses is always a plus.

This is an interesting topic. I've yet to do this or even offer to do it but have given it consideration.  It seems by the answers I've read here that it really depends on the agents.  I'd say so far it's about 50/50 for people saying it's valuable.  I'm the type that if I'm doing something like this I'd want it to be as much a benefit to them as it is to me.  I know the exposure to potential buyers is great for me but I'd want to know that my presence brought some value to the agent that's hosting the open house.

I have not and I really don't see any benefit.  The vast majority of my clients come in pre-approved or are going to work with their bank.

I've tried it. Mostly it was a waste of time. The serious buyers already had a lender, the rest were usually window shopping.

I did this a long time ago. Did I see value in it?  Not really. The lender is there to nab their own prospects, whether or not they are interested in your listing.
