I don't work with any part time loan officers. My clients need answers NOW and I can't wait until some loan officer gets home from their other job. I WILL NOT have my clients involved that way.

I don't now of any in this area that work part time. Oh I take that back. There are some that are full time employees that only "work" part time. LOL

Anastasia Jordan ... As a Lender, I can't say I even know a part-time Lender. The thought of a Lender being part-time actually gives me the chills (on the behalf of their clients and referral partners)! I'm not even sure how they could accomplish all that needs to be done in a timely manner when only working part-time hours. Even for full-time Lenders that remain in-touch and accessible on extended hours and weekends, it can be challenging ...

I had a friend who had worked with a part time loan officer and she lost his file. Obviously this is not the norm.
No part time loan officers have answered yet so maybe this answers your question.

I think most real estate agents would prefer to work with a mortgage person who is full time.

I actually have never met a part time loan officer. It's work that you should be pretty focused on.

Anastasia Jordan - Off the top of my head, I would say it is hard to know WHERE anyone works out of, yet still be affiliated with a company. I bet most real estate agents these days work out of their home, for example. But that's different than having a full time job that you are required to be at. From home where you are in charge of time management, you could do several things.

I do not work with any part time loan officers, not do I know of one. One of the lenders I use does occassionally work from home, plus he works weekends and evenings when needed. The other lenders I work with check their voicemails from time to time and get back to the clients on an as needed basis.

I've never met any part time loan officers. I wouldn't work with one. I want a full-time commited LO. I suspect being part-time in the loan industry is as difficult as being a part-time agent these days.

I would have thought that you would have gotten a few answers tonight. They must be enjoying their Sunday.
