First aid kit, small tool kit and a jacket in case I get stranded when it's cold.

Sub-zero parka, thermal blanket, yetti bushwacker tent, tin of sardines, chemical hand warmers, ski mask, mittens, shovel, cat litter, tow band and cell phone charger. All this would give me something to talk about while I call AAA.
Here is Forida you need hazard indicators, flashlight and telephone. Unless you have attempted to remove a wheel attached with nuts torqued to 100 lbs you won't realize what you are really up against. Make the call and get away from the car.
Also, just in case in Florida means alway be prepared to enjoy the beach.

Flashlight, granola bars, hair spray (safety experts recommend it as being as good as mace if sprayed in eyes), boots for mud, extra MLS forms i.e. offer to purchase and so on.

Cindy Dudley, it has nothing to do with hills although it could. If my cars is up on a jack the least amount of movement can be a lifesaver or limbsaver!

A thermal blanket, gas container, snacks, water. I've been meaning to put a first aid kit in my trunk, but I need to stock one up first. :)

Lots of great suggestions; thanks to everyone for the feedback.
Olga Simoncelli and Christina Botteri, I will have to add some Granola bars and Beef Jerkey. Debbie Reynolds, you reminded me of the need for extra batteries.

Scott, Mary, Kevin..Thanks.
Mary - I like the first aid kit. I have to admit when I saw thermal blanket, it caught me by surprise until I realized where you are located Mary. Being in Houston, we don't need a thermal blanket much.
Kevin - What do you use the wheel chocks for in Florida?...not especially hilly down there. Just curious.
I am starting to accumulate quite the arsenal of random items from wrap ties to duct tape, and with the extra clothes, flashlight, and water - I'm concerned that I may be confused with a kidnapper or cat burglar if ever stopped.
