I don't use the Market Leader 10 days of pain... I know it well and I think most of those emails are idiotic. But that being said, I have my own 10 days of pain program that I do use.

Anita Allen - I agree.  We Southerners like to be loved on and coaxed, not bombarded.  Nothing will turn some buyers/sellers off faster than to be hammered several times a day, multiple days in a row.  I try to put myself in the consumers' shoes and treat them the way I would want to be treated.

In our quest for a higher conversion ratio, we have to understand that while it's good to increase from say, a 5% to 10% conversion, how many people did you make angry by being overly pushy during the process?  If you converted 5 new transactions that year, but now have 10 new people that are happy to tell the world how pushy you are, have you really gained at the end of the day?  Negative comments about you are far more powerful than positive comments.

It always boils down to the IDWDT syndrome. Even when presented with proven systems, those for whom it is intended will disable the very features that make it work.

KW for instance has their 'Dialing for Dollars' program that many agents ignore because we don't wanna cold call.

The thing to keep in mind is if you are presented with an EXTREME program such as many we've seen modeled to overcome objections and force the owner to sign, the intent of such presentation IS to be extreme and the audience can tone is down as needed. However, what actually happens is a fault is voiced and the program ignored.

To often we read a question that sound like "Does the 'Lighting Strikes Twice' seller marketing plan work?" The answer is always, YES, it works for some agents.

The plan is the same, it is the agent that is the variable.

Yes PAIN works. But for most agents they will say "I Don't Wanna Do That!" (IDWDT)

Interval training will shave minutes off your endurance runs. Interval training hurts.....A LOT!  Some will say, "I don't need to shave minutes off my endurance runs."

That is a good and acceptable answer. But don't violate your fidelity to your personal commitments, own your situation. In this case ownership is, "I do not want to grow MY business in a way that might create pain.'
